Consumers are encouraged to properly dispose of expired and unused medicines which might be cluttering your bathroom cabinet. Unwanted, unused and expired medicines can be a risk to the environment and/or human health if not disposed of correctly. There are many reasons to properly dispose of such medicines, and in doing so, you can help protect our water, prevent identity theft, stop accidental poisoning, curb prescription drug abuse and medicine theft.
Below is a list of eight local drop-off box sites where you can quickly and safely dispose of your medications year-round. Also, watch for periodic drug “take-back” events in our community.
